A ONCE popular pub may have called last orders for the final time as it faces being turned into houses.
In its heyday The Alsager Arms was a favourite boozer with Stoke City fans.
It even made national headlines in 1989 after a fight broke out at the venue between Leeds United and Stoke City fans.
However, its fortunes waned in recent years and the pub has stood empty since the end of last year.
Now a planning application has been lodged to turn the Sandbach Road pub into 18 flats.
