HEROIC cadets put their training into practice to help save a driver from a lorry fire.
Emergency services closed a road after a van carrying hay caught fire in Church Lawton, close to the traffic lights in Liverpool Road, on Sunday.
But three air cadets from the 2493 (Alsager) Squadron, who were on their way home from training, came across the scene and sprung into action.
